What you agree to when you submit a law.
You confirm the law and the explanation are your original work, that you have the right to submit them, and that they do not infringe anyone else's rights. If you submit a photo, you confirm you own it or have permission to use it, and that any person shown in it has consented.
You grant Grown Man Laws and its owners a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, publicly perform, adapt, modify, translate, excerpt, create derivative works from, and sublicense your submission — including your name, city, and photo — in any medium now known or later developed. This includes commercial use: books, print and digital products, merchandise, courses, video, audio, social media, advertising, and promotional material.
This is a license, not a transfer. You still own your law and can keep using it however you want, including publishing it elsewhere. You are giving us permission, not giving it away.
You understand and agree that no payment, royalty, revenue share, or other compensation is or will be owed to you for any use of your submission, now or at any point in the future — including uses that generate revenue.
We may edit your submission for length, clarity, grammar, or style. We may decline to publish any submission for any reason. We may remove a published submission at any time.
We intend to publish accepted submissions with your name and city. We may also use your submission without attribution where the format requires it — short-form video, merchandise, or design applications, for example.
The license granted here continues even if you later ask us to remove your submission from the site, and applies to any product or material already created or in production at that time.
